Conor McGregor finally got under the skin of Floyd Mayweather Jr. without saying anything. In a recent interview, Mayweather went on a rant on how McGregor should not be compared to him.

“Notorious” is the talk of the world after his magnificent performance against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 when he became the first ever UFC champion to hold two belts in different divisions simultaneously. A lot of analysts have gone on their way to say that McGregor could give Floyd Mayweather Jr. a hard time if they meet inside a boxing ring now.

TMZ Sports caught the wrath of “Money” when he was asked about the comparisons between him and McGregor. He bragged about his undefeated record in boxing and all the money he made in his fights over the years.

“I’m a legend. A living legend. To the sport of boxing I gave years and years of hard work, it was blood, sweat and tears, had a tremendous team, had a tremendous run. I think if Conor McGregor need to go out there and do what he do, but never compare Conor McGregor to me. It’s a total disrespect,” Mayweather said.

“I’m a elephant. An elephant don’t beef with ants. Elephant is so large he don’t even see ants,” he added.

It was rumored earlier this year that a boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor will happen. However, it never materialized but the door is still open for it to happen since McGregor is not going to fight in the UFC until he gets a stake in the company.

On the other hand, the reigning UFC featherweight and lightweight champion fired back at Mayweather regarding his comments. He called out the retired boxing champion in an ambush interview with TMZ Sports.

“Say it to my face,” McGregor exclaimed.

The 27-year-old Irishman is in high demand at the moment. The UFC would want him back as soon as possible after shattering records at UFC 205. The WWE is also interested in signing him to appear on television soon and now, Mayweather Jr. possibly looking for a fight.
