Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. rematch possible after Pacquiao-Bradley fight

With just a few weeks away from the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley event, some rumors are surfacing that this fight will not be the last fight of the Filipino champ. It is once again being speculated that a Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. rematch could be possible after all.

Despite the efforts of the organizers behind the third fight of Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley, it seems like the hype is not as effective as compared to the previous encounters of these two world-renowned boxing fighters. Even with news that Bradley’s camp prepared a new game plan for this fight to make sure victory, boxing fans are still less thrilled about the upcoming fight.

“Our approach this time [against Pacquiao] is going to be way different We have a big game plan going into this fight and I am looking closely at Pacquiao and his weaknesses,” said Bradley.

Perhaps one of the factors about the said phenomenon is the idea that this fight will not be the last fight of Pacquiao. That is why boxing fans are still dreaming of a possible rematch between Pacquiao and Mayweather.

According to some reports, Manny’s promoter Bob Arum is not convinced that this boxing event in April will be the last time that fans will see the Filipino pride fighting in the ring. Pacquiao himself is not even sure whether his upcoming match against Bradley is his last.

“We do not know. It’s hard to say if I’m finished. I can’t say I don’t want to come back,” Pacquiao said.

With such statements and speculations being laid down, fans cannot help but imagine a possible Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. rematch. And such idea is somehow being affirmed by the possibility of Mayweather Jr. to unretire.

According to the report of Paul Jones, based on the interview of Floyd Mayweather Sr. via “On The Ropes Boxing Radio,” Mayweather Jr. could unretire and have Pacquiao or Danny Garcia as possible opponents.

“The only thing good there is Floyd’s gonna whoop his ass where he can get enough money to go about his business and sit his ass down somewhere. That’s a real simple fight for Floyd. It’s been a long time coming and it came, and when it came, Pacquiao got it. And guess what? Pacquiao can get it again,” Mayweather Sr. stated.

If such speculations and statements are to be actualized, then boxing fans will undoubtedly become more than eager to watch another explosive boxing match courtesy of Manny and Floyd Mayweather Jr. But for now, we would just have to wait for some updates on whether these speculations will come true.
