The Flash Season 3 is expected to bring lots of makeovers and excitements in the popular CW TV series. There are reports saying that Season 3 may introduce the Flashpoint Paradox that is based on the comic books.
The finale of The Flash Season 2 gave hints on what will happen in the next season. Barry Allen traveled back in time in order to save his mother, Nora Allen, from being killed by Reverse Flash. Recalling in the Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, Barry went home to surprise his mother with a birthday gift only to see her lying on the floor and covered with blood.
Now that Nora Allen is alive, it has left the viewers puzzled regarding how the story will unfold next season. According to GameNGuide, if The Flash Season 3 follows the story line of Flashpoint Paradox, there is a higher possibility that Barry Allen will be losing his power. The powerless Barry will then be trapped in the midst of the battle between Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
This could lead Barry Allen to create a new timeline through which he travelled back in the year 2000 to save his mother. Also, this would erase all the events that happened in The Flash Season 1 and Season 2, including the time when he first acquired his power.
However, Carlos Valdes, who played the role of Cisco Ramon/Vibe on The Flash, revealed that there would be a difference between what will happen in the TV series and that in the comic books. He also added that Season 3 will be unique but did not reveal any specific information about the changes supposed to happen.
“All I’m going to tell you is things are going to be different, way different. Not in a bad way; I think in a really exciting way, and it’s that difference that’s going to inform Barry’s trajectory throughout the season, and I think people are going to like it,” Valdes said while speaking about “The Flash” Season 3.
“I can say, without a doubt, wherever we go from here, it’s going to be unique and it’s going to be different,” Valdes added. “It’s going to honor the original chronology and the original lore while at the same time providing a new spin on it and I think it’s that spirit that’s allowed our shows to do as well as they do so I ask the fandom to have faith.”
The Flash season 3 is expected to be launched in October 2016 and more information will be released as the air date draws near.
