2NE1 Disbanded: Dara wrote a letter telling fans not to cry

By on

YG Entertainment officially announced last November 25 that 2NE1 disbanded. After that, the group was quiet but the first message from the group is already out.

A Sweet Handwritten Note

The message came from Dara in the form of a handwritten note. The post was posted on the Parkers LOVE Sandara tweeter account. There was an accompanying video of Dara handing the note to the fans as proof that it was really from her. The letter was comforting despite the sadness after 2NE1 disbanded.

Solo Careers

After the announcement that 2NE1 disbanded, YG Entertainment also announced that it has renewed its contract with Dara and CL as solo artists but Park Bom will no longer be managed by the company. There are questions why Park was let go. Many believe that the scandal she was involved in affected the decision.

In 2014, Park Bom came under fire after reports surfaced that she bought medication from the US illegally. That was also one of the main reasons why the group stayed low.

After that, CL pursued her solo career and just came fresh from her North American tour. On the other hand, Dara focused on acting. The quartet appeared together for the last time during the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong. The viewers were surprised after they appeared alongside CL while she was doing her solo number. After that, they performed some of their biggest hits.

Rumors that 2NE1 disbanded surfaced earlier this year after reports that Minzy did not renew her contract. Now that it has been official, many are asking if CL will finally release a full-length album. Her recent tweet teases that there is something big in store for her fans.
