Taylor Swift sexual assault: ‘He put his hand under my skirt and groped me’

Taylor Swift might not have been busy writing new songs or working on a new album but aside from her love life, the ‘Bad Blood’ singer is busy in private over a lawsuit against a radio DJ who sexually assaulted her.

“Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there,” Swift recounted the incident which happened three years ago in July.

Until now, however, she is fighting David Mueller, the accused, who still maintained his innocence saying he had been wrongly accused. The incident happened in July 2013 during a meet and greet event where Mueller sexually assaulted her.

The 26-year old singer said she was completely stunned because the event is where she’s supposed to thank her fans but turned out to become a nightmare. Mueller, on the other hand, lost his job after the incident and said that it was his colleague, Eddie Haskell, who groped the singer.

However, Swift insisted that it was Mueller and her lawyer concurred with her saying that she was 100 percent sure it was the said DJ so she decided that she should make an example out of him and send a message to women that they don’t need to hide but should fight back.

Mueller filed a lawsuit in September 2015 in the US District Court of Denver claiming that he lost his job based on false allegations. Swift, on the other hand, filed a counter suit the next month of the same year and requested a jury trial. Swift said that if she wins, she will donate the proceeds to a cause that helps protect women against sexual assaults. The presiding judge will have to decide yet whether the trial will push through or not.
