This Thursday, American Idol will feature many familiar faces, and they will pull out all the stops for this series finale.

According to TMZ, the American Idol series finale is going to feature an appearance at the top of the show by original co-host Brian Dunkleman and the viral sensation William Hung. William Hung and Brian Dunkleman are among the stars being recalled for the series finale, TMZ reported.

Hung became an overnight sensation after his unforgettable performance of Ricky Martin’s She Bangs in season three. In addition to Brian Dunkleman and William Hung, former judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are also expected to join, as well as many of the American Idol’s top 3 contestants over the last 15 seasons.

J. Lo will also be joining the American Idol power cast, performing her brand new single on American Idol series finale.

Brian Dunkleman, which best remembered as the man who gave up the job that ultimately made Ryan Seacrest one of the most recognisable faces on the planet, was the co-host on the very first season of the American Idol.

Reports said that the American idol is trying to bring back all 15 season winners, and almost every top three finalists for one big final show, which includes Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert and Jordin Sparks. Kelly Clarkson will only appear in a taped segment as she is due to give birth to her second child any day now.

Meanwhile on Monday, it was rumored that the American Idol’s creator Simon Fuller is already working on a possible replacement.

People can watch a 90-minute special airing on Tuesday night. On Wednesday night, the American Idol series’ final top three will battle it out one last time, while the rest of the show goes down on Thursday night.
