Beyonce is all set to return to the Super Bowl’s halftime show.
Beyonce recently collaborated with the British band on the song Hymn for the Weekend, which appears on the group’s latest album A Head Full of Dreams.
The 34 year old pop queen last graced the half time show in 2013 and was joined on stage by her former Destiny’s Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Performing on a medley of her hits and an animated performance, Beyonce left the crowd wanting for more.
Beyonce is close friends with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their performance is expected to be a huge hit. Just last month NFL announced that Coldplay will be headlining the halftime show.
Bruno Mars who performed at the Super Bowl in 2014 is also expected to be performing this year.
Last year Katy Perry performed at the Super Bowl stage. Katy’s performance was the most-watched halftime show in the history of the Super Bowl, with 118 million viewers tuning in.
The 31-year-old pop star was joined by special guests, Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. She performed her hits including Roar, Dark Horse, a medley of Teenage Dream and California Girls and performed I Kissed A Girl with Lenny Kravitz. She then closed her performance with the song Firework.
Other stars that performed during the half time of Super Bowl in recent years include Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas and The Who.
This year’s Super Bowl will be the 50th one to date and will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 7. It will air live on CBS.
Meanwhile, Beyonce joined Channing Tatum in his epic Lip Sync Battle premiere throw-down against his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum and performed Queen B’s Who Run the World (Girls).
