The Big Bang Theory Season 10 release date
The Big Bang Theory Season 10 release date sets off in September in CBS with more drama, thrill, and twists. It might also be the last season for the series

Thursday’s episode of The Big Bang Theory made its fans upset. It included a remote-controlled toy version of renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. However, Hawking himself didn’t think so as he approved it himself as well.

Many thought the episode will be in poor taste since Hawking has an ALS. It is an unfunny degenerative neurological disease that left him paralyzed. It also resulted to make him communicate through a speech-generating computer. So, making a joke about it would be disrespectful to the man who brought so much to the world.

But it seems the fans were wrong about the episode. The show delivered it in such a way that it would not be offensive, rather funny as well. And Stephen Hawking showed that he has a great sense of humor by being on-board. The plot of the Hawking toy section of the episode was a one-sided debate about how offensive and tasteless it is.

According to a report by Yahoo, Howard (Simon Helberg) found the said toy he made, which zips around and does tricks and even has glow-in-the-dark eyes and programmed to say things like “Hey good lookin’, want to go for a spin?”

But Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) thought that it was offensive. So, they called Raj (Kunal Nayyar) for a second opinion.  Raj said that he doesn’t trust the sensitivity judgement of Howard who showed him a video of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) kicked in the nuts and found it the funniest thing in the world.

So, Howard and Raj took the toy at work to survey their co-workers about its offensiveness. They asked Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Leonard if it’s in poor taste and they replied “yes.” They concluded that it really is offensive and abandoned the toy.

Meanwhile, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) was jealous of Bert’s (Brian Posehn) MacArthur Fellowship award, per TV Guide. But his sour mood changed when the real Hawking called. The genius scientist consoled Sheldon by saying,  “Don’t worry, I know how you feel. I have never won a Nobel Prize,” Hawking said. “It’s fine. I’ve been on The Simpsons.

Unfortunately for Howard though, he wasn’t around when Hawking said,  “I always thought a motorized toy of me would be cool.”

This was the funniest episode so far as it did a great job of hammering on a tasteless joke. Not approving of it until the only person who could approve it said it was alright. Having Stephen Hawking flip the joke on its head was a brilliant move on the show’s part.

Hopefully, more episodes like this are in store as The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
