Bruno Mars has just debuted his new single “24K Magic” and it already occupied the No.1 Billboard spot and the Twitter Trending 140 chart. The single, which was released on Thursday shot to the top of the charts 12 hours within its release.

The single was Mars’ first from his new LP which will be released on November 18. The album serves as his follow-up from his hit album “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which was released four years ago. Given the long time fans have waited for his next album, it makes sense that they must’ve missed him so much to send him to the top charts.

The video of the single featured Mars partying and playing hard in Las Vegas. And just like the song, the video hit 2 million viewers not long after it was released on YouTube.

24K Magic has a retro-feel to it complete with Mars’ vocal braggadocio. Even the title has a hint of retro to it reminiscent of the disco lights during the 70s and 80s as well as the colorful popped up collars kids used to wear on those days. Just like his previous songs, the new single is not in any way less impressive and there is no doubt that it is going to be a hit.

While Mars was working on his current album, he was busy in between and kept fans in the know about his activities. He was featured in “Uptown Funk,” Mark Ronson’s mega-hit which occupied the top spot of Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks and the top song of 2015 Billboard Hot year-end.
