Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks is looking at his not so distant future and sees himself as a clothing designer when he collaborated with Macy’s and Nickelodeon for a limited edition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection that will out in time for the movie’s sequel release.
According to WWD, the line of collection that Anthony has designed ranges from graphic t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, pajama sets, socks, basketballs and an over-the-door basketball hoop. The collection will have the official name tag Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Melo and will be put on sale at Macy’s Store and at macys.com by May.
“For me, this is a big moment. I grew up on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so to be able to partner on a boys’ collection with Nickelodeon and Macy’s goes beyond my wildest dreams. As a kid, they were one of the first cartoons I gravitated to,” Anthony said.
He has not yet confirmed if he will be present at the launching of the line of collection, but explained that he is basically involved in the whole process of designing the collection from the colors, slogan and textures. Aside from designing the collection, Anthony is also thrilled to be included in the movie that is scheduled for release by the summer in a role as himself.
“Of course, when you are on the set shooting, it feels way much longer,” He added.
