Some celebrities have been engaged in the past campaign election. They had been vocal as to which candidate they support and went on and endorsed them.
Famous singers like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Miley Cyrus and the powerhouse couple Jay Z and Beyonce post support for Hillary Clinton in their Instagram accounts with some of them hashtagging #imwithher during the election.
Hollywood Actors and actresses like Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon also express their support. Few celebrities who supported Trump were relatively minor. Thus leading to Hillary Clinton topping Donald Trump’s Endorsement.
But surprisingly, Donald Trump won the recent election.
Along with Trump’s victory some celebrities expressed their fears disappointment. Ariana Grande was in tears according to BBC News. And some other artists expressed their thoughts on Twitter.
Marvel’s Captain America Chris Evans wrote “This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated.”
Along with Evans who express disappointment is James Van Der Beek who goes on rant on twitter expressing his disbelief on the result of the votes, “Trump voters: In his victory, can we all take a breath and acknowledge the racism, misogyny & bullying we all find unacceptable?”.
Minority of the celebrities also calls for unification. Jennifer Lawrence, known to be very vocal about her hate with Trump in her recent essay she penned for Broadly titled, “”Don’t Be Afraid, Be Loud: Jennifer Lawrence on What We Do “, the actress wrote that everybody is entitled to their emotions but no one should be blamed.
She also added that everybody must turn their anger and devastations into hope. Singer Katty Perry, Lilly Allen and actress Mia Furrow also calls on the generaton to stand together. Katty Perry goes on twitter and wrote that revolution is coming and she also added that “We will never be silenced. #LOVETRUMPSHATE.”
Though most express their frustrations about the result election, others also went on and congratulate the president-elect. Among the few celebrities who congratulated Trump is Steven Seagal, Mark Duplass and tv personality Piers Morgan.
