Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys Christmas Break during the Heat and Pistons Game

Real Madrid’s Christmas break is on and Cristiano Ronaldo it seems has taken full advantage of the break.

The 30 year old jetted off to Miami, Florida  and attended the Miami Heat’s narrow 93-92 defeat by the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo enjoyed the game sitting courtside at front row with his friends and was given a warm welcome by the Eastern Conference franchise. The Real Madrid superstar was also presented with a basketball jersey with his name and favourite number ‘7’ written on the back by Miami Heat.

Dressed in a tie and suit jacket alongside a pair of designer jeans and sporting a pair of sunglasses, Ronaldo was in full spirits and enjoyed the game as Miami Heat suffered the 11th defeat of the season.

Miami Heat were quick to inform the crowd that they are in the presence of football superstar by putting a message on the video scoreboard saying: “Soccer superstar Ronaldo is in the crowd tonight!,” much to the amusement of the crowd. There was a loud cheer as soon as the message was displayed.

Detroit’s Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ensured that his team enjoy the Christmas with double celebrations by capturing the win. Kentavious helped his team win the game by scoring the last seven points.

Ronaldo was greeted by British basketball star Luol Deng with a warm embrace before the pair shared a joke. Deng who is an Arsenal fan scored nine points during his 33 minute appearance .

Ronaldo reciprocated and thanked the Miami Heat and Deng for their warm welcome and hospitality by taking to Instagram after the match.

“Thanks for the hospitality guys! Nice to meet you bro! @luoldeng9,” Ronaldo wrote in his Instagram post.

Ronaldo will have a long break and will be able to enjoy the festive period more as Real Madrid’s next match is still seven days away and will take place on December 30.
