Over the past few months there have been speculations that Cristiano Ronaldo is set to leave Real Madrid and might soon join Paris Saint-Germain after the three-time Ballon d’Or winner told Laurent Blanc said that he would “love” to play under the manager at Paris Saint-Germain, reports Mail Online.

However, the Portuguese star’s agent Jorge Mendes has squashed all rumors and declared that Ronaldo will finish his career with Real Madrid.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Mendes who won the Best Agent of the Year award at Sunday’s Globe Soccer awards in Dubai said: “He’s the best player of all-time. And I am sure that he will play the next four, five, six, seven years at Real Madrid; he will end his career there.”

“He’s happy with Los Blancos; he’ll hang up his boots when he’s 40,” added Mendes.

Speculations were also rife that the football star might return to his alma mater – Manchester United but Mendes dismissed all the rumors by saying, “There is lots of speculation and a new story every day. But if you ask me, I would say Cristiano will finish his career with Real Madrid and be there for many, many years.”

Jorge Mendes has been Ronaldo’s agent throughout his entire professional career and also negotiated Ronaldo’s £12m move to United in 2003 and the £80m transfer to Madrid in 2009.

At the launch of Ronaldo’s documentary, Mendes also revealed that the conversation with Sir Alex Ferguson that proved to be the deal-breaker.

“You have the wrong idea that Cristiano played a fantastic game against United and then afterwards they decided to buy him. It’s not true,” Mendes said.

“All the big clubs wanted Ronaldo, but Ferguson guaranteed him first-team games. I was with him the night before and he said, ‘If you come with me, I guarantee he will play 50 per cent of the games’. That was the key.”

Earlier in November, there were also reports that Ronaldo is dating Mendes’ eldest daughter Marisa Mendes. Ronaldo also shared a picture with her in his Instagram account and the 24 year old is said to be a regular at Santiago Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo enjoyed his Christmas break by catching the Miami Heat-Detroit Pistons game in Miami last Tuesday. Ronaldo who enjoyed the game sitting courtside was also presented with a basketball jersey by Miami Heat with his name and favorite number ‘7’ written on it.
