Dragon Ball Super episode 47 entitled “SOS from the Future! A Black Enemy Appears!” will be the start of the ‘new arc’ where a new powerful opponent, Black Goku, is expected to threaten the Earth. Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Super, announced that the ‘new arc’ will be launched on June 12, 2016.

As the air date of the ‘Future Trunks Arc’ draws near, more revelations are surfacing the web regarding what will be expected on the next episode. The new villain, Black Goku, is said to originate from Universe 6 and 20 to 50 years from the Future Trunks timeline. Future Trunks expected that the world will be at peace when they successfully defeated Cell and the Androids.

However, with the release of the new trailer for Dragon Ball Super episode 47, Future Trunks seemed to be in big trouble where a more powerful enemy appears and threatens the Earth. Future Trunks traveled back in time in order to ask help from Son Goku, Vegeta, and other Z-fighters.

The recent poster for the ‘new arc’ showed Goku wearing a Potara earrings. Recalling in the ‘Majin Buu Saga’, Goku and Vegeta wore the Potara earrings in order to fuse into Vegito. This could lead to the speculation that Son Goku and Vegeta will fuse once again to fight Black Goku. While there are rumors saying that Black Goku will be the one wearing the Potara earrings, the information about Black Goku having white hair nulls the claim.

However, the past Vegito seemed to not enough to match Black Goku, knowing he will be challenging Omni King, Whis, and the Gods of Destruction. It must be a ‘Super Saiyan Blue Vegito’ who will be fighting Black Goku in order to save the Earth from further destruction.

Another thing that is expected to spice up the ‘new arc’ is the possible relation between the Adult Trunks and Mai. In the trailer released for Dragon Ball Super episode 47, Future Trunks was accompanied by Mai in his mission to travel back in time and save the planet.

Dragon Ball Super airs Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on Fuji TV in Japan. The “Future Trunks Arc” begins June 12,2016 with episode 47, “SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Appears!!”
