Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne was over the moon as of late for receiving some bromance support from “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” co-star Colin Farrell during the recent San Diego Comic-con who gave him a back rub to die for.
At least, that’s how awesome the back rub might have been because Redmayne was so enthusiastic about it. The little bromance moment happened when he had to go onstage during the Comic-Con. He said that the moment was pretty intense that he began to feel nervous. Fortunately, Farrell was there to assure him and provide some support.
“I remember feeling really nervous beforehand, waiting in the wings, and Colin Farrell was giving me a little back massage and going, “It’s going to be fine, Eddie, it’s going to be fine”‘, the actor said.
It was good to know that although the two actors were bitter enemies on screen, they are getting along well off-screen. On the other hand, there are fans or critics who have put some different color on this display of friendship between the two. Some accuse Redmayne of being gay or too effeminate. Fortunately, there are also those who defended the actor saying he was just your ‘archetypal British luvie -sensitive and honest.’
Meanwhile, there are other things that make Redmayne happy nowadays. One of them is being a doting dad and husband to his daughter, Iris, and wife, Hannah Bagshawe. He also talks about the ups and downs of being a dad.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be shown this month in theaters worldwide. The story centers around Redmayne’s character, Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who has a magic suitcase full of magical creatures. However, his No-Maj (muggle) friend accidentally released some of the beasts inside the suitcase and Newt had to track down and catch them one by one.
