Warner Bros. ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ hasn’t even hit the theater yet. And Johnny Depp landed on a major role as he portray the main villain causing an outcry on the soicial media.
In connection to the alleged abuse of his now ex-wife Amber Heard, fans went on and Rant on Twitter about their dismay in the production team for casting the actor suggesting he wasn’t fit for the role. Some even went far calling the decision of the production ‘horrific’.
Many also turned into the author of the franchise, J.K. Rowling for defending Depp.

Prior to defending the actor, J.K. Rowling stated, “I didn’t approach him—although he was approached with my full blessing, because I thought he’d be amazing in the part. I can’t say much, because there are surprises in the movie, but I’m really happy with his performance,” the screenwriter teased via E! News. “And I think the fans will be, too.” She also went on and praised the actor’s performance in the movie.

David Yates, director of the movie also came to Depp’s defense. “He’s a really brilliant, brilliant actor and we were excited about seeing what he would do with this kind of character,’ Yates said.
He also went on and added, “He’s fearless, he’s imaginative, he’s ambitious. We thought he’d do something fun and special. So we went for him purely on that selfish basis, we don’t care if he’s famous or not famous, we just know he’s interesting.”
The director of the film also made a remark to the fans express their disappointment against Depp, “In this business you’re a star one week, people are saying odd things the next, but no one takes away your pure talent.” , Yates said
Although Depp is just making a cameo in the upcoming movie, he will play a substantial role in the succeeding sequel of the movie.
Meanwhile the movie ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them”s premier date is set this coming November 18.
