“Gotham” Season 2’s finale description has been revealed earlier this week with still three remaining episodes for the season left.

To be aired May 22 on Fox and titled “Transference”, Gotham’s season finale is described as:

“While Gordon, Bruce and Lucius remain at Indian Hill, the city of Gotham will be met with a new threat as Hugo Strange’s inmates devise a plan to escape and start their new lives.”

This comes after Gotham Episode 20 (“Unleashed”) and Episode 21 (“A Legion of Horribles”) set to air this week and next week, respectively.

In Gotham Season 2 Episode 21, Fish Mooney (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) will make a return officially confirming the best kept secret of the show that Smith was returning in the second season for multiple episodes.

The second season was described as the “Rise of the Villains” for the DC characters based series and the final episodes will support that idea with the rise and resurrection of the Gotham’s vile creatures; throughout the year Edward Nygma (played by Cory Michael Smith ) has slowly developed into Riddler full-time same as Oswal Cobblepot (played by Robin Lord Taylor ) transformation into equally evil The Penguin.

There’s also Victor Fries (played by Nathan Darrow) change into Mr. Freeze plus Azrael (former Mayor Theo Galavan and played by James Frain).

Created by Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist” and “Rome”), Gotham stars also stars Ben McKenzie (Detective James Gordon), David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne), Sean Pertwee (Alfred) and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), among others.
