Hatsune Miku targets Scarlett Johansson’s look in her first Japanese hair commercial. Along with the famous virtual idol’s 9th anniversary celebration, a new software release as well as activities were organized.

After seven years since the Japanese virtual idol’s debut, Hatsune Miku finally stars in her first Lux hair commercial. Surprisingly, the Hollywood A-list actress Scarlett Johansson also appeared in the advertisement.

Recently, the Japanese hair company, Lux, launched a new ad for their latest product starring the popular virtual idol with the A-list actress’ look. Based from the video released, Hatsune Miku faced confidence issues and pondered about her hair look.

While she’s in the middle of the street, she asked herself whether it’s possible to look like the  beautiful model in the Lux commercial shown in the big screen. “Ah! A wonderful commercial! Someday, I also… I’m going straight ahead!” she said after pulling out her pony tails.

Aside from the interesting movie commercial, Lux also launched Hatsune Miku’s new song entitled “Future Overture (Lux Ver.)” which tackled about hair and confidence issues among women.

Furthermore, Scarlett Johansson’s photo also appeared in Hatsune Miku’s phone. The actress told Hatsune Miku that she’ll make the Japanese virtual idol’s dreams come true. After Johansson said the lines, Hatsune Miku suddenly appeared in the streets of Paris and walked with confidence with her long hair.

In addition to Hatsune Miku’s releases, new software was also launched. According to Crunchyroll, they released the software, Hatsune Miku V4X, for her fans in line with her 9th anniversary celebration in the entertainment industry since her debut in 2007.

Moreover, festivities and promotional campaign activities were also organized. These were in line for promoting Hatsune Miku Collection – The Mysterious Music Comet, which is a smart phone game and a mobile music platform.
