Iron Fist, The Defenders Netflix release date, cast, trailer revealed at Comic-Con 2016

The Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego saw the debut of two Netflix series, Iron Fist and The Defenders on Thursday. Teaser trailers of both the shows were revealed, creating excitement for the viewers ahead of their release.

In the Iron Fist Netflix trailer, Danny Rand, played by Finn Jones is introduced as a child who is being cared by yellow clad monks. He is then seen trying to control his powers without any luck.

The show will follow the journey of Danny Rand, who will fight against the criminals of New York City, using his amazing skills of kung-fu and his special ability to use the Iron Fist. Jessica Henwick, known for playing the character Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones will be seen as Colleen Wing in the series.

Meanwhile, The Defenders Netflix teaser trailer showed the various logos of Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

“You think the four of you will be able to save New York? You can’t even save yourselves,” the trailer ends with this intense dialogue. This gives us a hint that something big is about to happen in the show and users can’t wait for it to release.


The trailer of The Defenders revealed that the show is set for release in 2017. Although Iron Fist had “Coming Soon” written in the end, industry insiders are saying that it will  be released in 2017 as well, according to The Wrap.
