In 2014, Robert Downey Jr. stated that an “Iron Man” 4 will hit the big screens but was not sure of when it will be released. Now, rumors are swirling that Marvel will indeed produce a fourth installment of the film but will replace Downey with a young actor.
Multiple sources show that Downey was in Atlanta where Marvel is shooting three movies. It includes “Spiderman Homecoming,” “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” Downey will reprise his role as Iron Man in the Spiderman and Avengers film.

However, Game N Guide noted that Downey and the people from Marvel have not given any statement on when they would film “Iron Man” 4. Building speculation that Downey would not be coming back as the main in the iron suit. Mobile and Apps reported that Downey would be replaced by a girl.
The female character, identified as Riri Williams, will get Tony Starks attention and eventually replace him as the woman behind the iron suit. Starks attention on Williams started when TIME describes her as a science genius who enrolls at MIT at age 15. Williams is also a fan of Iron Man that she was able to build her own mobile suit in the walls of her dorm.

Rumors build up that Stark would eventually die and have Williams succeed him in fighting villains that are out for world domination.
Sources have also stated that Downey and Marvel could not seem to agree on the fee for the actor for the fourth installment of the film. This is the very reason “Iron Man” 4 is still on hold. Despite Downey’s Twitter post, many still view it as a cryptic message that does not confirm any ground works for the new Iron Man flick.
Fans would be thrilled if the fourth installment of the movie franchise would start filming. But with no Downey to reprise his role would be awkward as he has brought to life the man behind the iron suit. Though his post tells a lot of meaning, fans could not wait for both Downey and Marvel to give the official statement to calm everyone down as well.
