Justice League movie trailer cometh

After Warner’s announcement of the upcoming DC comic book movie adaptations, many fans scoured the schedule for two words- Justice League. As one of the most popular series in the DC line, the Justice League movie is highly anticipated by long-time fans and newly inducted followers.

With the release of the trailer during Comic Con 2016, the hype has moved a notch higher to fever pitch, with the entire Justice League Team finally being revealed on the big screen (and not on a laptop screen). Finally joining Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman are Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash. Absent from the entire preview is Superman who, as most would already know, died in the last movie.

The basic premise of the Justice League movie trailer shows Wayne seemingly trying to recruit members for a team of warriors he is assembling, in preparation for “an enemy that is coming, from far away”. The actors portray their characters believably– from Jason Momoa as the stoic and hot-tempered Aquaman to Ezra Miller as the witty, quick and funny Barry Allen. Cyborg is played by Ray Fisher, who does a good robotic rendition of the character.

One of the questions atop many minds of fans, regarding the movie is- who is the villain? With director Zack Snyder hinting that Darkseid will be the main antagonist of Justice League: Part Two, fans have theorized that Steppenwolf, a member of Darkseid’s elite, will be facing off with League in this movie. Others have suggested Brainiac, Lex Luthor (again) or an alien invasion.

Nonetheless, the trailer gives fans a good idea of what to expect. With what seems to be a departure from Batman V Superman’s depressing and dark tone, the humor and milder dialogue has surely left fans clamoring for more. But they will just have to wait as Justice League will not be released until 2017.
