Kim Kardashian Kanye West Baby Son Named ‘Saint’; Twitter Reacts

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have finally revealed the name of their new-born son.

The reality star, 35, and her rapper husband also called Yeezus who released a song in 2013 called ‘I Am God’ have named their son Saint West.  The couple are already parents to daughter North.

Kim announced the name on her subscription website kimkardashianwest.com in a post titled “To Our Fans” and it reads: “Saint West, 12.05.15, 8 pounds 1 ounce”, accompanied by four emojis depicting their family.

Within minutes of the announcement, Twitter and Instagram was flooded with memes poking fun at the name.

One meme showed the baby emoji-the same one used by Kim in her announcement post- onto a painting of a saint, while one showed Kanye as Jesus cradling the baby emoji.

A Twitter user also jokingly said that Kim must have been smoking marijuana while picking out the names of her two children and another user posted a photo of the gay nightclub promoter Stefon played by Bill Hader on Saturday Night Live and wrote “New York’s hottest club is Saint West.”

Another used the lyrics of Kanye’s song Golddigger but twisted it a little at the end: “18 years, 18 years. Your name is going to be Saint West for at least 18 years.”

Kim’s ex Reggie Bush also featured in a tweet that showed him giving a side eye with the words: “That moment when you look up and see that your ex named her new kid Saint.”

Just last week Kim revealed on her website that she was struggling to come up with names for her then unborn baby boy and dismissed rumours of calling him ‘South’ in an interview to NPR in June, reports Daily Mail.

“I don’t like South West, though, because North will always be better and she has a better direction. So I wouldn’t do that. I don’t think we’ll go with another direction,” Kim said at the interview.

She added: “Everyone keeps on saying South, and I think it’s so stupid. It’s the stupidest thing ever.”

In her interview with Ellen DeGeneres in September, Kim revealed that she was a fan of the name Easton, but added: “I don’t think my husband likes that name, but I do like it.”

Kim is still in a hospital in Los Angeles following Saint’s birth, and is staying in a $4000-a-night birthing suite.
