DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” will have a new villain in Season 2. Unlike in the first season, this villain would be introduced more slowly to give fans anticipation over the new character.

In Season 1, main villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) was introduced even before the series began, Comic Book Resources reports. For Season 2 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” the villain would slowly be made known.

Executive producer Mark Guggenheim has said that for season two the villain would be introduced much the same way in how it was done in the first three seasons of “Arrow” and the first two seasons of “The Flash.” Heroic Hollywood has said that the new villain has not been identified yet though his identity would be revealed as the season progresses.

As for who else would appear in the second season, Screen Rant has detailed that the Justice Society of America (JSA) will make its appearance in the series. Fans are excited about it especially since it will feature the appearance of Jay Garrick, which will be played by John Wesley Shipp. Garrick is known as being the Golden Age Flash. Shipp has also played the Barry Allen Flash in the 90s “The Flash” TV series.

Other characters from the JSA that will likely appear include Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel (Nick Zano), Rex Tyler/Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) and Vixen. The character of Vixen though won’t be the same one that audiences might have become familiar with. It might be another character that could take on the totem given by the African spirit, Anasi. It is speculated that the character might be unique to the series and not found anywhere else.

For season two as well the series will have a new approach. Instead of having to chase the villain from one time period to another, a new villain will appear each episode. This is to add variety to the show.

“Legends of Tomorrow” season two will have its premiere on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
