Lesley-Ann Brandt has spilled some teasers for Episode 7 of Season 2 of the police procedural hit series “Lucifer.” Brandt teases that her real-life husband, Chris Payne Gilbert, has been cast to play as Det. Chloe’s father.

Brandt told TV Line that the show’s episode 7 will be more of flashbacks that will show Gilbert as Chloe Decker’s (Lauren German) father. She added that having Gilbert’s role will tackle the being of who Det. Decker is. Gilbert will play the role of Officer John Decker and it already tells a lot of where Chloe gets her police genes.

“What I love about that episode and his character, in particular, is you really get a back story with Chloe, the audience will see what made her who she is. Her belief system, why she became a cop. It’s all based on that relationship she had with her father. The kind of parent she is, her moral compass… all that is her dad. It’s a very important character, because it’s setting up your female lead and how she kind of walks through life,” Brandt said.

The incident was the turning point for Chloe to follow her father’s footsteps in becoming a co.

Ten years had passed since her father’s death and Chloe will try to dig deep as what really happened that fateful night. Aside from finding answers, Chloe wants to give her father the justice he deserves.
