Man of Steel 2 Rumor: Brainiac to be the main villain

To all Superman movie fans, Man of Steel 2 is a done deal. The sequel is confirmed Friday by Henry Cavill’s agent as the development of the movie continues. Cavill plays the character of Superman, the alien superhero from planet Krypton.

“Henry has a big appetite. We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [Justice League] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone,” Dany Garcia, manager of Cavill, said in an interview.

So, who will be the next big bad trouble who will fight the superhero in red cape? According to Encumenical News, rumors have circulated that Brainiac will be the main villain to grace the Man of Steel 2 movie. Brainiac and Superman are rumored to give the fans two epic fight scenes in the sequel.

In an article posted in Stopru.org, Brainiac is one of the famous enemies of Superman and fans have yet to see the villain in a Superman film. This super-smart android is tied to planet Krypton and one of its abilities is to mimic the powers of the justice league.

Furthermore, rumors also said that Martian Manhunter and Supergirl will also have a piece of the spotlight in the new Superman movie. Martian Manhunter will be the reason why Brainiac visits Earth. Also, Warner Bros. is in the process of courting J.J. Abrams to direct the movie.

There is still no certainty as to when Man of Steel 2 will arrive in movie theaters but before that happens, Superman will appear first in DC’s Justice League movie which will feature Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amber Heard (Mera), Jeremy Irons and J.K. Simmons (James Gordon) November next year.
