Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves are avid fans of the “Call of Duty” video game franchise. Both of them battled it out playing “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” as opponents in Treyarch studios on livestream.
Thanks to the YouTube channel Typical Gamer, fans are now able to witness the Timberwolves teammates play against each other and how they reacted while playing the game.
It has to be noted that both the players did some trash-talking to get on each others nerves. Every gamer will know that the verbal attacks are a part and parcel of gaming.
Celebrities unveiling a new downloadable content (DLC) for a studio are not uncommon these days. The best way to reach out to audiences to promote a DLC is to let a celebrity play it. This is where Wiggins and Towns featured for Treyarch.
Towns is a rookie this season while Wiggins was chosen as the NBA Rookie of the Year last season. Both the superstars are avid Call of Duty players and it showed in their gameplay. The two Wolves men dominated Kill to Death ratios and it was hard to distinguish who was the better gamer.
This is not the first time when National Basketball Association (NBA) and Call of Duty have combined together and this certainly won’t be the last. These are the events which show the human nature of the basketball celebrities and fans get a different perspective of their superstars.
The video below shows the one-hour footage of both the players getting involved in the game.
