Capcom has previously teased fans over Resident Evil 7, but until today, there was no word on the Resident Evil franchise. However, this could change with Capcom’s newly released financial statement, which gave a lot of information to readers.
Capcom has detailed a lot of numbers in its financial report, including the newly released Street Fighter V, which has sold approximately 1.5 million units for PC and PlayStation users.
News about the new game in the Resident Evil franchise arrived through the company’s financial earning report and has went on to describe that the “Resident Evil Umbrella Corps” is only the warm-up of the full-scale offensive strikes the company planned for this year.
Tech pundits took this particular statement to mean that Resident Evil 7 is indeed in the development stage now. Reports said that the new game will be released for PC and PlayStation users sometime this year and will take place by March 2017, which marks the end of its present fiscal year.
Of course, it is still possible that the company has some other Resident Evil title planned for this year, and that just is very unlikely at this point considering the Umbrella corps upcoming release and previous Resident Evil 7 teasers.
Gamers will get more about this upcoming game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event, which is scheduled in June, this year. The E3 2016 event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 2016.
