After parting ways with long term beau Lewis Hamilton in February, pop sensation Nicole Scherzinger, 37, seems to have found love again in tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, 24.
The pop star has been linked with several high profile men since her split with Hamilton but it looks like the 28-ranked player Dimitrov might have stolen her heart.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer has been secretly dating the player since his split with fellow tennis star Maria Sharapova in July after two years of dating and the pair is believed to have got friendly soon after.
“Nicole is dating Grigor. They’re completely besotted with each other. But they’ve been careful not to be pictured together because they don’t want the pressure of the relationship being in the public eye,” a source said.
The source also claimed that the Formula One world champion is not happy about it.
“Lewis knows and is very unhappy. It’s made him realise he isn’t over her. He’s been desperately trying to talk to Nicole over the last few weeks.”
Hamilton first began dating Nicole in 2007 and since then the pair enjoyed “are they, aren’t they?” relationship status. They apparently split up twice in 2010, once in 2011, again in 2012 and 2013 but finally got back together in March 2014 only to split again in February.
Talking about the reasons for going their separate ways, Scherzinger said, “Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent, because it’s comfortable for them, because they don’t want to be alone.”
“It’s a new chapter in my life. I’m going through a very transformative time in my life.”
“A lot of the time when you’re in a relationship, you lose yourself and you lose who you are and what makes you special. You’re always putting all your energy on someone else, so find yourself again. Build yourself back up [and] be that big, radiant light.”
Recently, they were spotted at the same London nightclub last week, sparking rumours of a possible reconciliation but seems all such hopes have been dashed since news of her dating with Dimitrov began doing the rounds.
The Bulgarian tennis ace Dimitrov who also dated tennis superstar Serena Williams in early 2012 announced he was ready to focus on the game after his split from Maria Sharapova was announced.
“Our paths split,” he said. “We experienced wonderful moments together. I wish her much happiness and success in life and in tennis.
“Now I’m concentrated entirely on the game and I’m sure the results will soon be seen. This is the summer of new beginning of me.”
However, representatives from both Scherzinger and Dimitrov are yet to confirm the news.
