Outlander Season 3 spoilers are all over the Internet. In its third season, time-twisted hit drama series Outlander has officially landed Australian actor David Berry to play the role of Lord John Grey. Berry’s character is a former soldier who became a governor in Ardsmuir Prison and later became friends with Jamie, played by Sam Heughan.

The drama series is based on Diana Gabaldon’s books called Voyager and if you are one of the books’ avid readers, you already know by now that Berry’s character is a closeted governor who will later experience a heartbreak from Jamie.

In an interview published by New Now Next, Gabaldon remarked that Grey is what she describes a ‘mushroom’.

“One of those unplanned people who pops up out of nowhere and walks off with any scene he’s in,” Gabaldon said. “He’s also a gay man, in a time when to be homosexual was a capital offense, and Lord John has more than most to lose by discovery.”

Apart from this spoiler, some fans showed their dismay towards the casting of Lord John Grey.

“Most of Diana Gabaldon’s avid readers might not have expected the likes of Berry to be chosen for the role. The first concern is that Berry is younger than what was described in the narratives; however, with the show’s nature of jumping back and forth in time, it is said to be a good idea,” Chatt Sports Net reported. “The Aussie actor might have already won the hearts of young men and women with his good looks, but others think he is physically far too different for the role.”

Outlander Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in 2017.
