The hype for the upcoming fifth season of Prison Break continues as details about the series continuously emerge and tease the fans. In fact, one of its cast members, Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, uses his Instagram page to update the fans about what is coming next.
Much to the delight of the show’s fans, the actor recently posted a string of Instagram pictures of his tattooed arms, giving rise to speculations that they are a way to help Lincoln save his brother, Michael Scoffield (Wentworth Miller), from the prison.
Purcell recently posted a picture of his left arm with the new tattoo that he will have in the upcoming season. The tattoo looks like a map that might lead him to the place where Michael is imprisoned. According to Christian Today, the tattoo appeared to be a huge compass with several words which are probably going to be used as a guide for them to break out of the prison. Theories are these might be translations or pass codes.
To recall, Prison Break told the story of Michael, a tattooed structural engineer, who used his abilities to free Lincoln. He had tattoos drawn throughout his entire body to serve as blueprints and maps to help them escape Fox River prison. So, with the revival of Prison Break, it is safe to say that their roles will be reversed with Michael now in jail and Lincoln out to save him break out.
With Prison Break coming back to the small screens for the fifth season, fans are getting anxious as to what are the meaning of Lincoln’s tattoos and its connection to Michael’s situation. An official trailer has also been recently released for the show’s fifth installment, adding fuel to the fans’ anticipation.
For now, these are only speculations. So let us wait till the show airs to learn the reality. Prison Break season 5 is scheduled to debut in early 2017 and air Tuesdays at 9:00 pm on Fox.
