Star Trek Beyond release date is coming and so with the official trailer and Rihanna’s single, “Sledgehammer,” the trailer itself became an advertisement.
Finally, the upcoming movie’s trailer is released in the same schedule with the debut of “Rude Boy” singer’s new song. The trailer merely featured recycles from the first two released trailers. Hence, there are no new scenes to be excited about.
According to Variety, the newly unveiled trailer picked up some scenes way back from 2009. But what made it different was the blend of Rihanna’s new song “Sledgehammer” to set the tone of action as expected in Star Trek Beyond.
“I’m bracing for the pain, and I am letting go. I hit a wall, I thought that I would hurt myself. Oh I was sure, your words would leave me unconscious. And on the floor I’d be lying cold, lifeless. But I hit a wall, I hit ’em all, watch the fall,” Rihanna sang.
The same source also stated that the new trailer opened with a scene where Kirk (Chris Pine) contemplated with his position in Starfleet. “My dad joined Starfleet because he believed in it. I joined on a dare,” he said.
“We were overwhelmed by something. Something we’d never seen before. I know this isn’t the last of my crew,” Kirk added.
“But this is my last report as the captain of the Starship Enterprise,” Kirk continued and declared when faced the formidable foe while the starship was in flames.
Star Trek Beyond is another spectacular sci-fi film to premiere this coming July 22 in theaters worldwide starring Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Idris Elba, John Cho, Sofia Boutella, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deep Roy, and the late Anton Yelchin.
Along with its release is the official debut of Rihanna’s new hit single “Sledgehammer.”
