If you watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens, then you know that Han Solo’s (Harrison Ford) death was brought about by his son, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Well, Ren’s mother, Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), was not happy about it. In the next installment of the movie, Star Wars Episode 8, will grace the movie theaters in 2017.
After Han’s death, rumors suggest that Leia will be captured by the First Order and she will have a face-to-face conversation with Kylo Ren over Solo’s death. Solo’s death came as a big surprise to many fans and had also generated numerous rumors and possible spoilers for the next movie.
However, according to ASC News, this Star Wars Episode 8 scene is just a rumor although it reportedly came from a reliable source. Some reports also claim that the scene between Leia and Kylo Ren is nothing but a hoax.
Meanwhile, there’s another rumor going around about Kylo Ren not being a real son by Leia and Solo. In a report published by The Week, according to a new theory, Kylo Ren might not be Leia and Solo’s son at all, but rather a nephew or a distant relative.
“If you watch through The Force Awakens, never once is it specifically said that Kylo is Han and Leia’s son,” says Reddit user LemmyGhost. “Han will say things such as ‘We miss you’ and Leia will say things such as ‘Bring our son home’. I am fairly sure Kylo will end up being their nephew, [while] the son they speak of is a different character.”
“Every single line is written in a veiled sort of way, so that later when their true son is revealed we can re-watch and see that this was never specifically said,” added LemmyGhost.
However, not everyone agrees wit the new theory. Some suggest that they are 100% sure that Kylo Ren is indeed Leia and Solo’s son. One based it on the novel ‘Bloodlines’, which is regarded as part of the new Star Wars stories.
“I saw this theory around a few months ago but there’s no doubt after Bloodline,” says DremoraGirl. “He’s their son 100 per cent.”
