Did Travis Browne really pop the question?
Rumors have been doing the rounds that Ultimate Fighting Champino superstar Ronda Rousey is engaged to her fellow UFC fighter boyfriend Travis Browne. News of her engagement with Browne started doing the rounds after she was seen sporting a ring while shooting promos for Saturday Night Live.
However, Rousey has shoot down any engagement rumors. Sources inside her camp reveal that news about their engagement is not true.
Entertainment Tonight reports Rousey’s representative saying, “She was just trying on jewellery.”
Rousey first confirmed about her relationship to Browne in October last year.
“I don’t talk about my personal life much. That’s why it’s called ‘personal life. It’s true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I’ve really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that’s all I’m going to say about it,” Rousey told ESPN.
As engagement rumors about Browne and Rousey circulated, Browne’s estranged wife, Jenna Renee Web took to Instagram and responded to the rumors with a powerful message.
“Kudos to the people with a strong enough backbone to take ownership of the decisions they make, wether good or bad, mistakes or not–who don’t try to cover their tracks by changing their story to please society.. Pet Peeve: When people think they can do stupid shit and not get called out on it…. I’m pretty sure we’re still married. When he hits you across your pretty face don’t worry, I’ll be right here to say #IToldYouSo I wish you both the best #yourewelcome #hyprocrite #thankyou #DNB,” Web posted.
Web accused Browne of domestic violence last year but he was cleared off after a formal investigation found nothing against Browne.
Ronda Rousey became the first UFC female fighter ever to host Saturday Night Live appearing alongside musical guest, Selena Gomez. However, apart from the engagement rumors that erupted from the show, Rousey’s appearance was memorable for another instance too.
Rousey who lost to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November last year didn’t even congratulate Holm on her success. But that was until her appearance on the SNL show. Rousey opened her monologue in the show by congratulating Holm on her win.
