True Detective Season 3 release date seemed to be uncertain until now. However, several hints have already been posted by actors about reprising their roles in the series soon.
Olivia Munn recently posted a photo of her along with other stars in her Instagram. It wouldn’t have much to say than a regular photo with friends if she didn’t caption it with “True Detective Season 3 #officemasparty.”
The post immediately fired and earned 18,000 likes with more than 200 comments. Many fans thought she’s part of True Detective Season 3 although some doubted.
According to the Morning Ledger, the actress sat in a red staircase with other notable Hollywood stars like Jason Bateman and T. J. Miller who played some characters in the series as well.
The same source added that there might be chances True Detective Season 3 will add more characters if it will be pursued. In the previous seasons, big names like Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrel, and Rachel McAdams were casted.
If recalling the previous news, Matthew McConaughey has a big interest with reprising Rustin Cohle as he already missed him much on Sunday nights. Moreover, HBO president Michael Lombardo admitted the network’s blame for the low quality of season 2.
“I’ll tell you something. Our biggest failures – and I don’t know if I would consider True Detective 2 – but when we tell somebody to hit an air date as opposed to allowing the writing to find its own natural resting place, when it’s ready, when it’s baked,” he said.
Matthew McConaughey also shared his thoughts on giving Rustin Cohle a grand rebirth. “I miss Rustin Cohle, man. I miss watching him on Sunday nights. I miss watching True Detective on Sunday nights … I was a happy man when we made that for six months, because I was on my own island,” he noted.
By thinking about these facts, it won’t be that impossible to expect all new True Detective Season 3 sooner. Given that another Hollywood celebrity, Olivia Munn, already gave a clue to its fate.
