As we reported last week, Ronda Rousey will not be fighting at UFC 200 as previously speculated due to her prior movie commitments. Ronda who has recently bagged a new movie titled Do Nothing Bitches alongside Tina Fey has her hands full with movies. She will appear in Mile 22 alongside Mark Wahlberg and in the remake of the movie Road House.
However, contrary to reports, Ronda has no plans of retiring anytime soon.
In an exclusive interview to TMZ, Ronda said that she will return to the Octagon later in the year.
“Some time later in the year,” Rousey said. “They haven’t told me an exact date or location or anything yet.”
“It’s a decision we’re [herself and UFC execs] all gonna make together, but I’m kind of waiting to hear from them what options they’re gonna give me,” she added.
On being prodded about her rematch with Holly Holm, Ronda said that the rematch is definitely on the cards.
“Of course! That’s what I want to do. What do you think we were talking about?”
Meanwhile, Holm will make her first title defence against Miesha Tate in the co-main event of UFC 197 on March 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event will also see Conor McGregor moving up from featherweight division and fight against Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight belt.
