It looks like Negan’s Lucille the baseball bat will get a lot of action in the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.
While fans are sure that one character will be killed on the season 7 premiere of the apocalyptic drama, debates have been made on online forums on who would be the unlucky character.
But, it turns out, fans are wrong all this time. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the villainous Negan in the series, told Den of Geek in an interview that there will actually be multiple deaths in the premiere.
“Negan’s not just going to kill one person in [the premiere],” Morgan says. “He’s not afraid of bashing in skulls.”
It would have been understandable that Negan will kill multiple characters on Rick’s group during season 7 at large, but emphasizing the word “the premiere” in his statement give rise to confirmation about the demise of more than one character on episode one.
The actor did not elaborate on who the fated character will be as the probability of him killing a member of his group or a stranger could also be possible.
Meanwhile, a new teaser trailer of the upcoming season of The Walking Dead is recently released by AMC adding fuel to the speculations about Lucille’s bloody date with the unlucky characters.

Based on the trailer, Negan goes on and on about the importance of having a right hand man and Glenn and Daryl fits that category. It could be possible that either of them or both will meet their demise in the premiere as a scene where a blanket next to the mess of brains either belong to the mentioned characters.
A popular theory also suggest it is either Glenn or Maggie with the official episode synopsis stating that the incident would haunt those who survive forever. Add to the fact the screengrabbed scene from the clip that is making rounds online where Maggie’s engagement ring is seen on a blanketed body.
However, these are all just speculations and theories and fans will have to wait for The Walking Dead season 7 to return to the small screens on October 23, 2017.
