2015 is ending on a high note for WWE fans as People’s Champ, The Rock announced on Instagram that he will in fact be returning to WWE.
Good news indeed.
The Rock announced on Monday by posting a video on Instagram that he will be in Dallas for WrestleMania 32 when The Showcase of The Immortals takes over at AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3, 2016.
The video was accompanied with a message stating: “IT’S OFFICIAL: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s sayin’.. ????. THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! The Rock whose original name is Dwayne Johnson made his appearance at WrestleMania 31 in April at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California alongside UFC sensation Ronda Rousey where both Ronda and he tackled WWE executives, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
Speculations were rife that The Rock would miss attending the Super Bowl of professional wrestling on April 3 next year due to his filming schedules but all that ended on Monday with the video he posted on Instagram.
The Rock hopes to acclaim more popularity and make history by being a part of the show that is rumoured to break the attendance record of 93,173 at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1987.
The ten times WWE World Heavyweight Champion also recently achieved a new Guinness World Record by clicking the most number of selfies-105 to be exact-in three minutes at the London premiere of his latest film,The People’s Champ.
