Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors is still one of the most talked about NBA rumors in the upcoming free agency in 2016.
Another report on Friday claimed that the Oklahoma City superstar is impressed with the Warriors’ style of play and that some of the players in the Golden State’s roster think they have a good chance of landing Durant.
Chris Broussard of ESPN updated the Durant to Warriors rumors on Friday.
“There are people in Golden State who think they’re getting him. There are people in management and I think some players too. Kevin Durant likes the way they play. He likes their style, he likes the fact they play unselfishly. He sees himself fitting into that group,” Broussard said.
Broussard did not specify which Golden State players have made the statement. Throughout the season, Durant has been mum about his free agency plans after the 2015-2016 NBA Season saying he prefers to focus on the current season and how the Thunder will play in the upcoming NBA playoffs.
Broussard also claimed that Durant wants to win a championship and if he does not get that in Oklahoma City there is a good chance that he will consider moving to another team, including the Warriors.
Other Durant free agency destination rumors include the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets although more teams are expected to join the chase for Durant in the summer of 2016.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry, the best player in the Warriors’ rosters, stated in interviews that he is fine with the current line-up in Golden State and did not address specifically the Durant to Warriors rumors.
