The long wait is over for Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 gamers, especially for the PC users, as the game is already up and running. However, things aren’t quite smooth yet for the Civilization 6 Mac version.
So when will the famous game be released for Mac? According to Tech.Mic, Aspyr Media, the company that ported the game, previously stated that they are rushing to finish the port as soon as possible. They even hinted that PC and Mac versions will be released at the same time but clearly that didn’t happen.
But if things happened smoothly for PC, the Civilization 6 Mac release will likely arrive in the very near future.
In retrospect, Aspyr Media handled PC and Mac versions of Civilization 5. Its PC version came out on Sept 21, 2010, and arrived for Mac two months later. They also handled the Oct. 24, 2014, PC release of Civilization: Beyond Earth as well as it’s Nov. 26 Mac release.
So, according to sources, it’s safe to say that Civ 6 could be available for Macs end of next month or sooner.
