Destiny Rise of Iron Strategy Guide: How to defeat Raid Boss in ‘Wrath of the Machine’

By on

Those who have played Destiny: Rise of Iron ‘Wrath of the Machine’ raid might have encountered one of the toughest bosses to beat, Aksis Archon. Here are some tips and tricks on how to beat Aksis to a pulp.

An important thing to remember is that there have only been two players so far who beat Aksis and they have a 380 game level. With that said, it is safe to assume that it is one of the first criteria to beat this raid boss.

Another thing to note is that it requires a team effort to take down Aksis. During the game, players have to do simultaneous actions: destroying the Servitors and collecting the SIVA from the Servitors. Thus, the team needs to assign a member to pick up the SIVA and throw them instead of runes at the raid boss while others are destroying the Servitors.

Three members of the team will also receive the “Empowered” ability after destroying the Shock/Null/Scorch captains. Those who receive this ability should station themselves in the middle, right, and left of the boss arena. The attack should focus on taking the captains down first, then destroy the Servitors, and throw the SIVA.

After destroying Aksis’ force field, he will teleport on any of the four sides of the arena. When he appears near an “empowered” player, he needs to jump on the boss’s back and stun him by hitting the button prompt. Once stunned, the team can continue its assault. However, this is temporary because Aksis will teleport to another side again. Therefore, it is important to place empowered players on those spots.

This stun and damage phase continues until the “SIVA Density Critical” appears on the feed. Players need to protect themselves by hiding behind the four pillars found at the back room. The team also needs to coordinate which pillar to hide when the wipe out happens. If somebody dies during the assault, they have to wait for a full 30 seconds to revive. On the other hand, if the players have a higher level, it will not take long before they beat Aksis.

Just a note to remember: Aksis has a 1 percent phase where he does one final SIVA Density Critical wipe out. Make sure that the team puts all their fire power and destroy Aksis during this phase to finish him off.
