Pokémon Go users can get excited again after reports of “new evolutions” for some of their favorite Pokémon characters in the augmented reality game. Rumors state that 15 million users stopped playing the game but with the planned new update, the Pokémon Go Gen 2, the Pokémon fans are expected to return being active again in the game.
Pokémon Go Gen 2 will be released anytime this September, according to various reports. The new features are expected to make the game more exciting with spoilers and leaks being shared around the Internet.
One of the features rumored is the arrival of the new evolutions to the Pokémon Go’s Pokédex confirms Brody Vernon of Telkom Gaming.
A list was provided via Reddit user NemoDapa_ with the following new evolutions for these Pokémons:
Golbat to Crobat
Gloom to Bellossom
Poliwhirl to Politoed
Slowpoke to Slowking
Onix to Steelix
Chansey to Blissey
Seadra to Kingdra
Scyther to Scizor
Eevee to Espeon
Eevee to Umbreon
Porygon to Porygon2
Vernon has some advice for Pokemon gamers as well:
“You will want to focus Plant/Grass type Pokémon as they counter a lot of the other types. One of the strongest gym Pokémon would be Exeggutor, who can rival even the dreaded water-cannon-spammer Vaporeon and even put up a fight against a Dragonite,” Vernon stated.
Other rumors mention other features for Pokémon Go Gen 2, which includes Pokémon trading, new incense types, the “buddy” Pokémon and the arrival of the Legendary Pokémons. Niantic has not confirmed any of these speculations but it’s expected since they are losing players consistently since the game’s release.
