The Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 is finally coming out this November, the Italian GameStop website reported.
According to the Italian website GameStop, the highly anticipated game will be released on PS4 consoles on November 10, that’s almost a year after its Xbox One debut. Aside from revealing the exact release date, the site also shows the game’s pricing information, revealing to the world that PS4 owners will be expected to pay around $60 for the game, even though it will be a year old by the time it finally hits the PS4 gaming console.
In addition to the Italian website news, a listing was also found for the Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 version on online shopping site Amazon, where it listed at $60 USD. However, the December 30, 2016, release date is more than likely Amazon’s generic placeholder date.
Published by Square Enix, the Rise of the Tomb Raider made its debut exclusively on Xbox One console last holiday season as part of an agreement with US-based software firm Microsoft, leaving Sony’s PS4 as the lone holdout. According to Game Rant, the news about Xbox exclusivity has surprised many gamers. At the time, no one knew what exactly Square Enix thought, however, it was later known that the exclusive deal with Microsoft will only last a year.
By the time the Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 hits the Sony’s gaming console on November 10th (assuming the Italian GameStop listing is accurate), one has to imagine that both the PC version of the game and the Xbox One version will be available at heavily discounted prices.
The Black Friday deals, which will come just a few days away from the game’s PS4 launch, so hopefully retailers discount the game equal across all its gaming platforms. If so, the Black Friday could be the best way for the tomb Raider fans to buy the PS4 version of the game at a more reasonable price.
The Tomb Raider series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and the release of the latest game on PS4 could very well be part of its celebration. As a part of this big celebration, developer Crystal Dynamics have released rare images from the Tomb Raider series, which some of them have never seen before.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently available on PC and Xbox One, while the PS4 version is scheduled for release on November 10.
