NBA 2k17 Release

With the recent news that Sony is launching PlayStation Tournaments in partnership with Electronic Sports League which will go live on NBA 2K17 as PlayStation 4 feature, players and fans alike have been anticipating for more updates about the event.

Details on how to participate in the PlayStation Tournaments have already been given except for some unanswered queries specifically on how the players can select the teams that they choose or whether the teams will be randomized.

The Electronic Sports League polices the event and has not released any restriction yet so most players might be selecting obvious teams like the Golden State Warriors. But more details will likely be released as the start date draws to a near.

Thus, a list of NBA teams from NBA 2K17 is created to help guide players what team to choose come October 27 – November 26 PlayStation Tournament.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Yep, the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers is a force to be reckoned with even in the NBA 2k17 games. As recent reports of the team yet topping another PlayStation video game simulation where they edge over the Golden State Warriors for the second straight year, players will have a blast playing James and the gang complete with a healthy Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith.

Add to the fact that the trophy holders’ team is intact in NBA 2k17 and the only downside is a sluggish Love and the unreliable Iman Shumpert. However, the Cavs will be every gamers’ choice so it is best to familiarize other teams as well.

Golden State Warriors

The inclusion of the Golden State Warriors to the list comes as no surprise given the recent addition of Kevin Durant to the team and the ever-reliable Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. The latest updates to the NBA 2K17 is very minimal, besides the addition of the 2016’s draftees. Curry remains deadly at the three point range so opponents will have a hard time playing against the Warriors.

Also, Draymond Green’s towering presence and Durant’s frustrating ability to score add to the team’s dominance to its opponents unless the gamer truly suck at playing NBA 2k17.

Philadelphia 76ers

Ben Simmons may be out for the foreseeable future due to injury but there is no denying that the No.1 2016 NBA draft pick has a lot of talent as the 6’8″ power forward is playable in the NBA 2k17. Add to that a healthy Joel Embiid to the pack and a hungry, young roster eager to prove themselves as a title contender this year.

The only downside to this team is that they have too many centers in Embiid, Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel but other than that, gamers can have a lot of fun playing this team as the Sixers has a lot of potential.

New York Knicks

The New York Knicks looks really good on paper with a solid starting five in Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, Kristaps Porzingis, Joakim Noah and Brandon Jennings. With the recent inclusion of Rose who has a lot to prove and still deadly on the court, the towering, essential Anthony and the up-and-coming future franchise player Porzingis, gamers can fully utilize the Knicks to their full potential.

Gamers just have to be careful on playing Anthony too much as his shooting can be temperamental and the Knicks don’t have a deep bench like other teams have.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers is always described as a top 5 NBA team and the NBA 2k17 is no exception. They can be a strong team considering the athleticism of Chris Paul, the versatility of Blake Griffin and the improved DeAndre Jordan plus reliable backup players.

Gamers can get to enjoy highlight reels of Paul and Griffin plus they get to play Paul Pierce who is a great clutch shooter of the game.
