The MLB trade deadline is near and MLB rumors have also included one of the current best teams in baseball, the San Francisco Giants, to trade for New York Yankees reliever Andrew Miller.
According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Giants have had internal talks discussing the acquisition of Miller, who will be traded for their pitching prospect Tyler Beede.
The MLB trade deadline is on Aug. 1 and MLB rumors are expected to pick up as teams try to improve their rosters to contend this season or acquire prospects for the future.

Miller is a veteran pitcher who has played for multiple MLB teams like the Detroit Tigers (2006-2007), Florida Marlins (2008–2010), Boston Red Sox (2011–2014), Baltimore Orioles (2014) and the Yankees since 2015.
The Giants are second in the National League with a 35-23 record so far in the 2016 MLB Season.
According to other MLB rumors, it’s not yet sure if the Yankees want to deal the 31-year-old pitcher. The Yankees are in 11th place in the American League and need a major turnaround to make the postseason this year. If New York decides it’s already a lost season, trading for Beede makes sense for their long-term plans.
There are also reports that Aroldis Chapman is available for trades from the Yankees before the deadline because he will hit free agency after the current season.
