Betting odds even favor crowd magnets Conor McGregor and women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm as it suggests that they would win in their respective fights at UFC 196 that will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
McGregor is set to face Nate Diaz in a welterweight division non-title fight. According to oddsshark, McGregor is shown as the runaway winner having the odds to his name with -500 and -450 at Caesar’s Palace and 5Dimes, respectively.
This will be the first time that the feisty Irishman is jumping two weight class to face Diaz, who was a last minute replacement for Rafael do Anjos. The two are set to meet at 170 lbs.
Classified as the underdog despite being comfortable in agreed weight category, Diaz still logs behind at betting odds showed him at +400 in both Caesar’s Palace and 5Dimes. Though the odds change rapidly, but the figures don’t lie as many still goes for McGregor.
On the other hand, women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm is also a bet seller as she is to take on Miesha Tate in the scheduled co-main event of the evening. Holm is at a -300 and -270 at Caesar’s Palace and 5Dimes while Tate has a +250 and +248, in that order.
Even former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is sure to put her stakes with Holm as she wanted to have the pleasure of beating the current champ when they meet in a rematch that is still on the works.
Also worth noticing is the match up featuring Corey Anderson against Tom Lawlor in the light heavyweight category. Anderson is a -280 and a -300 at Caesar’s Palace and 5Dimes while Lawlor is at +240 and +250.
No matter what the odds are still fight fans are in for some action as what matters most are outcomes of the fight inside the Octagon.
