Conor McGregor shook the entire MMA world last night when he announced that he is retiring from the sport.

“I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.
Catch ya’s later,” McGregor posted on Twitter.

However, speculations are rife though that Conor McGregor might join WWE. Hollywood Life reports that McGregor has started following WWE’s Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. He has also been invited by Becky Lynch to join her in the ring.

@TheNotoriousMMA #ComeJoinMeBro,” Lynch tweeted.

Conor McGregor’s tweet comes after UFC President Dana White announced that the 27-year-old fighter has been pulled from UFC 200 because he wouldn’t promote the fight.

McGregor’s retirement tweet was enough to send the entire world into a frenzy with people even calling it a ploy. The Irishman’s opponent too didn’t leave a chance to troll him on Twitter. Check out some of the reactions.

“I guess my work here is done I’m retiring too,” Nate Diaz posted, who was scheduled to face McGregor at UFC 200.

“Well was fun while it lasted,” John Kavanagh posted.

“Multiple sources are adamant at this time that McGregor’s tweet isn’t a joke, troll job or hoax of any kind. Reason(s) behind it is unclear,” Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour tweeted.

“Poor @TheNotoriousMMA must not be getting enough attention lately so he has to joke about being the quitter he really is. #ufc,” Colby Covington tweeted.

“I reckon the UFC moved his fight from the main event in favor of GSP… and he’s not happy,” Dan Hardy tweeted.

@TheNotoriousMMA and then at @UFC 200 comes the ‘comeback fight’,” Alistair Overeem tweeted.

“Or fuck this shit I ain’t fighting Diaz again! #209,” John Maguire posted.

“I sought it. Just another stunt to get people to talk about his bitch ass,” Donald Cerrone posted.

“Mcgregor said his not running away from the adversity and announce retirement, can someone explain me that? #frouxo,” Rafael dos Anjos posted.
