Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is one of the many fighters who believes Conor McGregor will be an easy opponent for undefeated boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. GSP sees “The Notorious” challenging “Money” to fight him in the Octagon once he loses in their upcoming bout.

“If he loses, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to lose if it happens, the odds are not in his favor. But if he manages to survive, it could be like a win for him. Because after he’s going to start talking, ‘Hey, I’ve stepped into your game, why don’t you step into mine?’ So it depends not only on the result, but how it’s done. It all depends on how things play out,” St-Pierre said.

GSP believes McGregor-Mayweather fight will happen

Georges St-Pierre will be having his comeback fight against UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. In an exclusive interview with RT Sport, GSP talked about Bisping, his “master plan”, and even the superfight between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. St-Pierre describes McGregor as the “biggest draw” and the “biggest seller in the sport of all time”.

St-Pierre has strong belief that the McGregor-Mayweather fight will happen. However, the former UFC welterweight champion doesn’t see “The Notorious” beating Mayweather.

“I think it will happen,” St-Pierre said. “I know Floyd will never fight Conor in a mixed martial arts fight, but Conor could fight Floyd in a boxing match. I don’t think he’s going to win, I don’t think he’s going to win at all, but I think he wants to do it and he’s going to make a lot of money out of it.”

Conor McGregor will have huge payday win or lose

The superfight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to make noise in the world of boxing and mixed martial arts. Though both fighters verbally agreed to fight, there has been no official details regarding the bout. As most people believe, it will be a one-sided fight in favor of Mayweather.

McGregor may be an incredible striker but fighting in the Octagon is very different in the boxing ring. Mayweather became a five-division world champion for a reason. If McGregor thinks he can outbox “Money”, he should consider fighting another professional boxer first.

However, “The Notorious” will be bringing home huge money whether he wins or loses against Mayweather. Both McGregor and Mayweather believe that their upcoming bout will be the first billion-dollar fight in the history. Unfortunately, money is also the reason why the fight is taking too long to become official.
