Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is yet to return to the Octagon, but there are speculations that she will have her comeback fight at UFC 206.
Ronda Rousey was last seen in action in November when she had her first loss against Holly Holm at UFC 193. With her first defeat, ‘Rowdy’ admitted that she have contemplated a suicide after the fight. Luckily, Rousey managed to overcome this trauma and ready herself to fight again inside the Octagon.
The women’s bantamweight belt continue to be passed to different female fighters and no one until now has managed to defend. Amanda Nunes is now the reigning champion and supposed to be the next opponent of Ronda Rousey.
Unfortunately, UFC president Dana White said that Rousey will not be fighting at UFC 205. However, White promised that ‘Rowdy’ will be fighting whoever is the champion of the time she is ready to fight again.
Julianna Pena and Valentina Shevchenko will now be given the chance to fight for the belt. Both fighters are keen to fight Nunes, doing everything to be noticed by the reigning champion and the UFC president.

However, recently, Julianna Pena revealed in an interview with My MMA News that she is more interested in fighting Ronda Rousey than Amanda Nunes.
“You know, in this case, it’s not about the money. It’s about pride. It’s about this girl telling me I don’t deserve to breathe the same air as another human being. I want to beat up Ronda Rousey. And so, I will take that Ronda fight all day long,” Pena said.
Pena has made a good impression after winning against Cat Zingano at UFC 200. She is currently ranked No. 5 and undefeated in UFC with 4-0 record. If she really wants Rousey, Julianna Pena should consider defeating Amanda Nunes first to get the belt.
According to Fox Sports, Ronda Rousey is currently in talk with the UFC about a possible fight before the end of the year. The potential fight is expected to take place on December 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
There are speculations that Dana White is planning to put Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor on the same UFC event which could possibly be in December or early January 2017 at UFC 206.
