Nate Diaz may have beaten Conor McGregor, but his battles are not yet over as he takes on Canadian singer and songwriter Justin Bieber in a social media fight.
The conflict between the two started when Bieber posted on his Instagram account a photo of Conor McGregor with a caption “still the champ.” Then followed it up with a mini video showing Bieber giving a toast together with his friends.
“To McGregor…still the champ…that broke my heart,” Bieber was heard saying in the short clip.

These posts angered Diaz, who retaliated with his own post on Instagram with a cartoon of him slapping Bieber and added a caption “Bieber’s a hater.”
Diaz may have won against McGregor at UFC 196 and silenced the feisty Irishman, but his word war with Bieber has just begun and followers are just waiting for the next post that Bieber will throw at Diaz.
He is also known as a fighter who never backs down as shown during their press conference with The Notorious, wherein he even caused a scene after accusing McGregor and fighters in the UFC for using steroids. His statements were immediately refuted by McGregor and even by UFC president Dana White.
After winning at UFC 196 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Diaz stated that he just wanted to fight and would fight anybody. He also noted that he is now the “King” of the Octagon after dethroning McGregor.
This is not the first time Bieber got into a word war with athletes, he once criticized Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao when the latter fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. He had also some runs with the law such as being arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), vandalism, resisting arrest and even petitioned to be deported from the United States.
