Tony Ferguson is not happy with Khabib Nurmagomedov. That’s is now fairly obvious after the Russian fighter called out Conor McGregor to a lightweight bout. According to Ferguson’s mindset, the undefeated contender has to go through him first.

“Like I said before, I’m not going to rob him of an ass-whooping. He does deserve one from my hands,” Ferguson shared with MMA Hour. Who else is he going to fight? He wants to fight for a belt. (Eddie) Alvarez ain’t going to fight him. Come on, dude. That dude’s been running from me for a long time. He hasn’t wanted nothing to do with me.”

Ferguson wasn’t short on colorful words either, calling Nurmagomedov a “whiny b***h” for wanting to get a shot at the belt.

“All b******t aside, the guy is a whiny b***h,” Ferguson added during the interview. “He can whine as much as he wants to. Instead of people saying, ‘you need to go for the belt,’ or, ‘you need to do this, you need to do that’, me, I’m waving my little finger in the air and I keep moving forward.”

Nurmagomedov believes that he deserves a shot at the lightweight belt after going 24-0 in his MMA career and an eight-fight win streak in the UFC. But Ferguson thinks otherwise.

Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov for an interim lightweight belt?

“Right now I’ve got, what, eight finishes out of 12? I’m on a nine-fight win streak. I’m what, 22-3?” claimed the lightweight title contender. “S**t, where’s MY title shot, man?!”

Fortunately, the two fighters seem to agree on one thing. And that’s to have an interim belt in the lightweight division, while Conor McGregor is out taking care of his baby. Which will happen March (I mean May)?

“I want to fight for the interim belt with Tony Ferguson,” Nurmagomedov said in another interview. “Ferguson is a tough guy. Tough opponent. Nine wins streak. Why not? I think this is a real high-level lightweight fight. Not Conor versus me. I think this is a real high-level fight. Let’s go.”
